Indianapolis business and civic leader Jerry Semler, has passed away at the age of 86. Semler was a former top executive at American United Life Insurance Company (AUL) and 2003 Indiana Chamber board chairman.
Semler, a longtime member of the Indiana Chamber Board of Directors, was honored in 2004 as the organization’s business leader of the year for elevating the growth and stature of AUL – now OneAmerica Financial Partners – as an Indiana-headquartered company.
Most recently, he was still actively involved in the Indiana Chamber as a director emeritus and member of the Indiana Business for Responsive Government political action committee.
