Mexican business magnate, Carlos Slim remains the world’s richest person for a second year with estimated assets of $69 billion, according to Forbes' annual global ranking of billionaires. He doesn't have his own television show, fashion line or personal sneaker. He does have a stranglehold on Mexico's telecommunications industry. The are others not quite as rich as Slim, but they're a whole lot more sexy and famous.

Mark Zuckerberg - $17.5 Billion
The youngest and richest billionaire in the world. He's the master behind the social network, Facebook. In 2o1o, he was subject of the fictionalized film of Facebook's creation, "The Social Network," portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg. His social network played a key role in the spread and organization of the revolts in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and Libya. Impressed by the outcome, President Obama praised Facebook as an example of American innovation in his January State of the Union Address. A month later, Zuckerberg sat next to Obama at a dinner with other tech giants like Steve Jobs, Eric Schmidt, Larry Ellison and John Doerr.
Oprah Winfrey - $2.7 Billion
The queen of television is arguably the most powerful person in entertainment. Oprah turns authors into instant celebs, down home chefs into chain restauranteurs and doctors into blockbuster gurus. She's turned many into believers. She now owns her a television network, Oprah Winfrey Network "OWN".
Mikhail Prokhorov - $13.2 Billion
The New Jersey Nets owner is from Russia, he bought a controlling stake in the NBA's New Jersey Nets. Basically, he's now the King of New York.
Donald Trump - $2.9 Billion
One of the most famous faces when it comes to celebs, he's certainly got the most famous head of hair. According to Forbes, Trump thinks his "brand alone is worth $5 billion." Such confidence has helped him accumulate one of the richest real estate holdings in the world. The real estate mogul is also the boss of NBC hit show The Apprentice.
J.K. Rowling - $910 Million
The brain behind 'Harry Potter' and the richest author in the world. Rowling wrote the first Potter books consist of eight series, it is the highest-grossing film series of all-time in inflation unadjusted dollars, with $7.7 billion in at the global box office.
Steven Spielberg - $3 Billion
King of the big screen, the films directed by Spielberg haul in an average of $157 million at the box office.
Michael Bloomberg -$22 Billion

Ralph Lauren - $7.5 Billion

Sir Richard Branson is aiming for the stars with his private space agency Virgin Galactic. The inaugural launch is slated to take place some time this year.
